No — this is LED neon flex, which is safer, more energy-efficient, and more durable than glass neon. It looks virtually identical when lit but cannot break, uses 80% less electricity, and stays cool to the touch.
Minimum letter height is about 4 inches for readable text. Smaller than that and the neon tubing cannot make the tight bends needed. For tiny text, consider our acrylic LED letters instead.
The tubing is IP65 rated for outdoor use. The power supply must be in a weatherproof enclosure (included for outdoor orders). The acrylic backing panel is UV-stabilized.
