Custom Illuminated Signs Factory Direct Quote Free in 24 Hours

What "free quote in 24 hours" actually means

Look, I've worked the floor for 16 years. When a buyer sends a vague email that says "quote me a sign," I can't give you a real number in 24 hours.

Maybe 24 days if we go back and forth twenty times. But if you send me dimensions, material, lighting style, and quantity, you'll have a factory price in under a day. That's not a sales pitch. That's the job. We know what each laser-cut letter costs, what each LED module draws, and what crate fits a 40-foot container.

Every quote I send includes itemized cost: material, LED, power supply, fabrication, packaging. No "project fee" buried at the bottom.

I've burned my hands on hot acrylic more times than I can count. It doesn't make me special. It means I know what happens when a sign isn't sealed right, when a power supply runs hot, when a face starts yellowing after 18 months.

Send me this, not your life story

Here's what nobody tells you: 80% of quote delays are caused by missing information, not slow factories.

I've seen this go wrong: a contractor sends a photo of a building and says "match that sign." That's not a spec, that's a riddle.

Give me six things.

  • Sign type: front-lit channel letters, back-lit halo letters, light box, or neon flex.
  • Face material and thickness: 3mm acrylic is standard for letters up to 2.5m. Bigger than that, use 5mm or the face sags.
  • Return material: aluminum is lighter, 304 stainless is tougher. For coastal, ask about 316.
  • LED color temperature: 3000-3500K warm, 4000-5000K neutral, 6000-6500K cool.
  • Overall size or letter height. A 600mm letter is not three times a 200mm letter in price, but it's not the same either.
  • Quantity. MOQ is one piece, but one sign goes by express and 50 signs go by sea. That changes total cost fast.

Send that and I'll have a number in hours, not days.

Factory-direct pricing, no fairy dust

We ship front-lit channel letters at $20-80 per letter, factory price. Back-lit halo letters run $35-120. Stainless steel non-lit letters are $15-40. A 3D fabricated logo can hit $120. Aluminum letters sit at $10-25.

That's the product. US retail installed prices run $200-700 per front-lit letter and $400-1,000 for halo-lit. So you're saving 50-65% on product by buying from us. But you're also doing the install, the permit, and the electrical hookup. Don't forget that when you compare numbers.

The ugly truth is some importers think factory-direct means zero risk. It doesn't. It means lower price and more responsibility on you.

What we can and can't do

We can produce custom sizes, custom mounting patterns, custom color temperatures, and custom finishes. We do brushed #4 stainless, mirror #8, PVD, and powder coat. We run acrylic on CNC within ±0.1mm.

We can't give you a UL 48 listed sign tomorrow. UL 48 costs $4,000-15,000 and takes 4-9 months, with quarterly audits. ETL is 10-30% cheaper. If a factory says they're UL listed but can't show you the certificate with a current file number, walk away.

We can't promise a sign survives a hurricane just because it's IP65. IP65 means dust-tight and water jets from any direction. It does not mean a 150 mph wind load. For coastal installs, I'll tell you to use 316 stainless, thicker returns, and proper structural mounting. That's engineering, not a sticker.

Certifications: ask for today's date

CE marking costs 20,000-50,000 RMB and takes 2-8 weeks. Most factories say they have it. Ask to see the certificate with today's date on the photo, not a PDF from 2019.

We hold CE, RoHS, and ISO 9001. That's standard for export. UL 48 is a different animal: $4,000-15,000 and 4-9 months.

For US electrical, NEC Article 600 applies. If you're installing in the US, your electrician will want a listed sign. Ask us before you assume a CE-marked sign passes inspection in Chicago.

LED quality: the part that makes or breaks you

I've seen this go wrong: a shop orders cheap modules, the sign looks great for six months, then half the letters die. Cheap LEDs last 12-18 months. Quality modules from Samsung, Osram, or Blueview run 5+ years real lifespan.

We use SMD 2835 as the workhorse. It's 100-150 lumens per watt and industry standard. SMD 5050 is for RGB. SMD 5730 gives you 40-60 lumens per chip, highest brightness. L70 is at least 50,000 hours on real modules.

Color temperature is not a vibe. 3000-3500K belongs on restaurants and hotels. 4000-5000K is corporate and retail. 6000-6500K is truck stops and highway signs. Pick wrong and the client blames you, not the LED.

Warranty matters. We offer 2 years on LED, 1 year on power supply. If a factory offers 5 years on cheap modules, they're lying or they'll be out of business before the claim.

Materials that actually last outdoors

Acrylic is your face material. UV-resistant acrylic from Mitsubishi or Degussa holds 5-8 years before yellowing. Domestic acrylic gives you 1-2 years, then it turns the color of stale coffee. Light transmittance is 90-92% on the good stuff.

304 stainless steel gives you 10+ years outdoors. It's 18% chromium, 8% nickel. 316 stainless costs 20-30% more but contains 2-3% molybdenum, which matters for coastal or industrial air. For a strip mall in Ohio, 304 is fine. For Miami Beach, pay for 316.

Aluminum weighs one-third of steel and lasts 8-12 years outdoors. It doesn't rust, but it dents easier. Thickness runs 1.0-1.6mm for most sign bodies.

Product choices, straight from the floor

If you want the storefront standard, order front-lit channel letters. Acrylic face, aluminum or steel return, internal LED. It's what you see on 90% of retail storefronts.

For premium architectural look, back-lit halo letters give you the glow ring behind each letter. They cost more, but architects love them and they justify higher bids.

If you need a menu board or a light box, acrylic light boxes run $80-250 per square meter factory price. Neon flex signs are the modern neon look without the glass and noble gas headache.
