Most rework comes from skipping this step. Walk the site first. Check for power availability, wall material, and wind exposure. For tall letters, you need wind load numbers. Mount the letters with a 1/4-inch gap from the wall for drainage. Level each one individually. A bubble level is fine, but laser alignment saves time on long runs.
