No cleaning schedule will save cheap domestic acrylic. If the face wasn't UV-resistant, it starts yellowing in 1-2 years. I don't care how many times you wipe it. You can't polish out UV damage.
Clean quarterly with mild soap, water, and a soft brush. No ammonia. No abrasive pads. And never, ever power wash a channel letter.
