Let me break down materials so you don't get fooled by a cheaper quote. Acrylic? We use Mitsubishi or Degussa sheet for export — 90-92% light transmittance, UV-stable for 5-8 years. If you go with domestic acrylic, it'll yellow in 1-2 years. That's a fact, not an opinion. For any letter over 2.5 meters tall, don't let anyone sell you 2mm acrylic. You need 5mm. I've seen this go wrong: a guy used 2mm on a 3-meter channel letter in a windstorm. It cracked in six months. He blamed the factory. And he was right to.
Stainless? We weld 304 for most outdoor signs — 18% chromium, 8% nickel, 10+ year life. Aluminum is another story. It's a third of steel's weight, naturally rust-proof, and with a powder coat it lasts 8-12 years outdoors. We use 1.0-1.6mm sheet for most letters. Great for lightweight installations on glass or drywall. If you want the look of metal without the weight or the cost, aluminum letters are your best friend.
LEDs? We use SMD 2835 modules for most jobs — 100-150 lumens per watt, L70 rated at 50,000 hours. That's an honest 5-plus years of real life if you use quality modules like Samsung, Osram, or Blueview. The cheap stuff from some factories? It dies in 12 to 18 months. You know how I tell the difference? I tear a module apart in front of a client. Most factories won't do that.
Color temperature matters, too. For a restaurant, use 3000-3500K warm white. For a corporate office, 4000-5000K. For a highway sign, 6000-6500K. We'll match whatever you need. Just don't ask for "a lot of white light" — that's no way to spec a sign.

Here's the part most factories won't tell you. We don't do UL certification in-house. UL 48 for signs costs $4,000-15,000 and takes 4-9 months, plus quarterly factory audits. Don't let any factory tell you they can "add UL for free" — that's a lie that could get your sign shut down by an inspector.
We also can't make a $20 front-lit letter with Samsung LEDs and 304 stainless. Material costs alone kill that. For $20-30, you get good, honest construction with standard LED modules and 304 steel — but if you want premium Samsung modules or 316 marine grade, the price goes up. That's physics.
And we can't magically ship your sign overnight. Express shipping takes 7-15 days and costs $30-100 for a small package. Air freight runs $4-12 per kilogram. Sea freight takes 50-70 days, at $80-200 per cubic meter for LCL, or $1,200-3,000 for a full container. Plus, US Section 301 tariffs add about 30%. That's real.
I've seen this go wrong: a customer ordered a 2-meter backlit sign, didn't want to pay for plywood crating, and we shipped it in cartons. By the time it reached Texas, it looked like it had been through a war. We learned. Now every sign over 1 meter goes in a plywood crate. Don't cheap out on packaging — that's your sign's body armor.
We also can't install the sign for you. We're a manufacturer, not an installation crew. If you're a sign shop owner, that's your job.
